The Rock & Roll Show from the 50's, 60's and 70's!

  More Information:

Our band, Rocky and the Revellettes, began in Woodland in 1980. From the start, the band has operated with several premises: that we would perform rock and roll of the 1950’s, 60’s and 70’s as closely as possible to the original artists; that we would provide both a stage show and dance music; and that we would change costumes every set to portray different styles of the period.

All seven performers on stage are soloists of different ranges and qualities of voice. This enables us to imitate nearly any singer or style from the era of music we perform. With three female and four male vocalists, the band is able to attain rich harmonies and fabulous “doo-wops”, allowing Rocky and the Revellettes is able to depict a multitude of styles, from early rock to Motown to
the “British Invasion”.

What began as a local band playing local clubs and private parties has grown into a major performing group of professional musicians. The demand for the band’s performance far exceeds our early expectations, and has extended beyond the boundaries of Woodland into Northern California. We are known in the Bay Area, northern and southern Central Valley, Reno and Las Vegas. We’ve also added the “Southern Oregon Tour” of car shows at Crescent City (Sea Cruise), Grants Pass (Southern Oregon Corvette Club) and the Kruise at Kiamath Falls.

Wherever the band plays, we receive return engagement requests year after year. Most of the current clientele includes corporations, service organizations, and private parties, such as the Ford Motor Company, St. Francis Yacht Club, Price-Waterhouse, CoIdwell Banker, the Mathews Foundation, Sierra Nevada Foundation, Pacific Coast Prosthodontist Society, and many country clubs

(Del Paso, Rancho Murietta, Yolo Fliers, Alamo, El Macero, Sierra Ridge and Green Valley), just to name a few.

We have played at the fabulous Hot August Nights in Reno, where Rocky and the Revellettes shared their stage with such oldies luminaries as the Coasters, the Diamonds, Little Anthony, the Righteous Brothers and the Shirelles. The band played for many of other promotions with other legends of the rock and roll era, including Tower of Power, Peter Noone of Herman’s Hermits, and Jan and Dean, and the late Ricky Nelson.

If you’re planning a wedding and your parents are “Baby Boomers”, or if they have an anniversary coming up, class reunion or birthday, if you have a golf tournament, a corporate fund raiser, any event where 46-64 year olds will be participating, then Rocky and the Revellettes is
the perfect blend of music and entertainment for your function. If your parents were baby boomers the music we play will be recognized by you, too, because even though you may not know the name of the singer, band or even the song’s title, the influence of old time rock and roll is in the music you grew up with. At these functions a whole new generation is dancing and lip synching to the music their parents dated and danced to.

Rocky and the Revellettes is the perfect mix of professional performance, music choice, show and really dance-able songs that everyone can enjoy. It’s mce to dance to “Louie, Louie” one more time, to shout to “Shout!”, to slow dance to “Angel Baby”. Everyone can have fun doing the Limbo (how low can you go?) and everyone in the audience can have the same fun the band is having. After 30 years together, Rocky and the Revellettes will continue to play rock and roll as you remember it. Great music played by a great band for a great time.
